[project story]
this story is repeated in many communities around the country. school budgets are cut, threatening programs like art, music, poetry, even libraries. either these programs find new sources of funding or they die.

the mill valley schools community foundation pitched in to save these programs by appealing to local parents for money. the problem was that they had a name a mile long and no image to speak of. craig frazier, a world-famous illustrator who lives in town, dragged us into this project, and in one record-breaking two-hour meeting, the mill valley schools community foundation became Kiddo!

craig designed the logo, we came up with the campaigns together, he designed everything and we did the writing.

for five years we produced their campaigns and helped them raise millions of dollars. they were terrific to work with because they were great clients. they told us what the problem was and what they wanted to accomplish, then they let us figure out the rest.

the lesson for non-profits? find the best people you can, be really nice to them, and make it clear that all you want is great work.
