ZigZag is a new iPad app that is going to make a lot of people happy, particularly people who get a lot of their work done on a whiteboard. Designed by Eric Bouck, a longtime product manager at EMC, ZigZag is what he wished he had when he was designing products with teams stretched out across the globe: one screen that everyone can work on.

Showing the world your ideas just got better.
Strategy
"It's great having a name that's a conversation starter. People always want to know what I do."
— Eric Bouck, CEO, ZigZag
Working with start ups is pretty amazing because we’re looking for the best place to set up camp from a marketing perspective while the client is trying to figure out exactly what to build. We knew a lot of people would be saying there’s no way to get this giant whiteboard experience on a little screen. We wanted a way to tell them: go ahead and play around…see what you can do.
Approach
We wanted the name to capture the power of the gestures you use when you’re putting your ideas in front of a group. This is a very animated process. We wanted to capture the power of the gesture when you are trying to express an idea for the first time.
