It isn’t created by branding companies, design firms, or ad agencies. Indigenous branding is something that is found off the beaten path, on dusty roads, in small towns and funky neighborhoods. It speaks to us because it is so far off the corporate track that passersby are completely disarmed by its innocence or its honesty or its ability to just hit the nail on the head. So, here we go. Welcome to a new installment of Indigenous Branding. What happens when the professionals are nowhere to be seen?

Stop the car. I got to get me some pictures here. In case you’ve been wondering, there actually is a place called Whiskey Heaven, and you can actually get there. It happens to be in Bayou Vista, Louisiana, and it’s a sure bet. We like the way the arrow points up to the heavens. But who knew that Whiskey Heaven is in a prefab? if you follow the arrow it points to an ugly industrial building. Of course the “i” in whiskey is a bottle of Bud, but these guys apparently have figured out a lot of stuff that we don’t understand.
